Palmate Newt breeding confirmed

Had a dip (with a net) in the ponds at the Country Park after we closed yesterday, really pleased to report there were still some adult palmate newts present and in amongst the duckweed were plenty of this years larvae. Also a good amount of dragon fly Larvae!

As usual sightings were recorded so we can evidence the pond is in fact a breeding pond.
